Open/Close Menu Making Disciples of All Nations

The East Africa Campus Conference 2012 is underway in Sportman’s Arms Hotel in Nanyuki about 2 hours drive from Nairobi.

Speaking to the media team before their departure to Nanyuki, Raymond and Lily Musonye – the Nairobi Campus Ministry leaders stated that the excitement among the disciples is at a fever pitch. “They have really worked hard to make it to the conference. It has not been easy but with prayers, fasting and encouragement from the classes we shared with them, we are glad to have managed to pull through together.”

The conference theme, ‘Ordinary People, Extraordinary lives’ will help the disciples know that God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things in all facets of our lives.

The three day conference which started today 30th August will go till 2nd September. The key speakers include the East Africa International Churches of Christ Lead Evangelist John and Jane Maleya and Deacon Jarrett Odwallo.

Lots of fun and activities have been lined up for the about 70 disciples drawn from the East Africa countries of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. The activities include spiritual nourishment classes, team building and fellowship.

The disciples made a lot of sacrifices geared towards ensuring that they met the set targets for the amounts they were to raise bearing in mind that majority of them are still in campus and with no gainful employment. They marshaled all what they had to host a successful campus extravaganza which had coincided with the Missions Sunday.

The 2012 East Africa Conference is the fourth one, with the first two having had been held in Kenya (YMCA) – 2008, Kenya National Theatre – 2010 and Uganda finally hosting the third conference in Kalangala – 2011.
