This year’s Lake & Rift Region Campus Challenge Camp was held from 20th to 22nd February in Matete, a small town located in western Kenya along the Nairobi–Uganda highway. Set in a peaceful environment away from the distractions of everyday life, the camp created the perfect atmosphere for reflection, connection, and transformation.

Challenge Camp is an annual gathering organized by the Campus Ministry of the International Churches of Christ (ICOC) in Kenya. The camp brings together university and college students across Kenya for a time of spiritual growth, fellowship, leadership development, and renewal in their relationship with God.

With the theme “RESET,” the camp focused on helping young people realign their hearts, minds, and daily lives with God. In a world filled with pressure, distractions, and uncertainty, the message encouraged participants to pause, refocus, and renew their commitment to living faithfully and purposefully for God.

A total of 42 young people attended the camp and were divided into four teams that participated in team-building activities, group challenges, worship sessions, and inspiring lessons from the Bible. The experience challenged participants mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically, pushing them beyond their comfort zones while strengthening friendships and unity among them.

Beyond the activities and fun moments, the greatest impact of the camp was the personal transformation many experienced. Participants left encouraged, spiritually refreshed, and more committed to their walk with God. Many shared how the camp helped them rediscover purpose, deepen their faith, and build stronger relationships with one another.

Above all, we give glory to God for making the camp a success. Through His guidance, love, and provision, lives were touched, hearts were renewed, and seeds of faith were strengthened for the future.
