The long-awaited day finally arrived. As early as 2 pm people had started arriving at the meeting point! Passers-by and pedestrians kept on staring wondering who these ladies and gentlemen dressed in dazzling white were. The first trip left at approximately 3.30pm while the second unexpected trip (because of the large numbers that turned up) left at 4.30pm

The destination was Milimani Beach Resort and the ambiance was unspeakable. Almost everyone could not help taking photos of the amazing views. As the ladies freshened up, the gentlemen waited patiently and indeed they were not disappointed. The ladies chose their dates secretly except the married couple in charge of the singles ministry and the surprise of the whole evening.

Everyone enjoyed learning their dates better and within no time, we all had to say what we had learned about them. Thankfully, it was all positive and everyone glowed from the praise. The compliments were crowned by astounding gift exchange!

Finally, it was Ken Allan’s turn. How he gushed with positivity about Audrey, his date. Like all the other gentlemen, he presented her with a Valentine Card. We all thought he was done when like a magician; he removed a single rose flower and on one knee requested her to be his special friend (girlfriend).

Ken Allan & Audrey

The joyful screams brought the whole house down. Even the waiters and waitresses couldn’t help joining in this wonderful surprise. The most enormous surprise was having Nairobi disciples from Audrey’s region join us. They came in like the three wise men bearing gifts: A snow white teddy bear, Chocolates, a humongous card just to name a few.

We were fortunate enough to have been joined earlier by our Evangelist Paul Nthei and his picture-perfect family. He took this opportunity to give a vote of thanks to the Nairobi team for sacrificing their time and finances to attend this momentous occasion in the life of one of their beloved.

Soon after, a photo-session followed with the dating couple. The unexpected surprise was crowned by an array of sumptuous dishes like; lamb chops, rice and passion juice, Fish, ugali and vegetables, Chicken, chips, and soda etc. After eating to the brim, we reluctantly left the site for our various destinations fully satisfied and our hearts inspired.

We thank everyone who supported this great endeavor whether in prayers, financially or by being hospitable. Congratulations to Allan and Audrey. We all pray that you will enjoy your friendship and it will bear fruit.

Way to go for all young people in Kenya and indeed globally. Such stories must keep making the world a better place for raising our children.

Wow. First congratulations to Allan and Audrey. But I got to say this. I pray Allan sees it someday. He is so lucky to have won mums heart as I usually called her. I met Audrey on 8th February 2008.She was my Classmate at The Maryhill Girls High School. She had a heart of Gold. Being raised by a single mom we usually talked so much about our mums. She was full of praises for her and her family. Despite the fact that she was our class prefect for 2years she has never presented anyone for punishment in our class or anybody on a list of noisemakers. She would actually get punished on our behalf. Allan you won a beautiful lady inside and outside too. Being among the few friends I still communicate too 11years down the line am sure of this. We come from 2diverse regions but our friendship keeps the ambiance grooming. She is a queen. Treat her well. I can’t say enough of mum am so happy for you two and can’t wait for the final day,,, na msituweke saaaana
